沙特阿拉伯对农业投资总额高达120亿美元

随着中东地区国家农产品需求量的不断增加，食品进口量再次创造历史新高。根据海湾时报报告显示，2010年沙特阿拉伯小麦需求量增长了25.9%，同时食品进口量增长了22%。

为了发展当地农业、畜牧业以及维持稳定的食品供应链，沙特阿拉伯政府已经拨款123亿美元用于农业设施投资，其他海湾国家也将陆续出台相关政策及拨付专款用于农产品生产技术和灌溉设施的建设。
